Russian FM to visit S.Korea
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov plans to visit South Korea later this week to discuss the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and bilateral ties, the South Korean Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.
"Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit South Korea from April 24-25 at the invitation of South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan," the ministry said in a press release, Xinhua reported.
Lavrov and Yu are scheduled to hold "in-depth" discussions on Friday over the nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula and other issues of mutual concerns, it said.
Lavrov is set to pay a courtesy call on South Korean President Lee Myung-bak during his visit to South Korea, it added.
