Senior Vice President of the Washington-based Centre for Strategic and International Studies Stephen Flanagan urged the head of the White House not use "Armenian genocide" expression during his speech at the Congress on April 24, the Turkish Cihan news agency reported.

Armenians mark the 24th of April as an anniversary of the so-called "genocide" by falsifying historical facts and making groundless statements toward Ankara. In 2006, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered to the Armenian president to form a joint commission, but Armenia refused from this proposal and stated that it has not doubts in interpretation of this event.

"Using "genocide" word will negatively influence on the U.S.'s relations with Turkey" Flanagan said.
