Iranian president's office requires television time to respond to critics

Office of the President of Iran sent a letter to the Iranian television, which required the allocation of special time to respond to the accusations against President Ahmadinejad, made in his absence at the debates, the Iranian IRNA news agency reported.

The head of the Presidential office Abdurreza Sheikh Ul Islami said in the letter that during three debates that were held without the participation of Ahmadinejad, serious accusations were made against him and the whole state, for which special time must be provided.

The letter states that the presidential candidates, Mehdi Karroubi, Mirhuseyn Musavi and Mohsen Rezaee criticized the president and the state within 60 minutes and 35 seconds.
