Nicaraguan health authorities confirmed on Monday 10 new cases of A/H1N1 flu, raising the infection toll to 115 in the country, Xinhua reported.
Nicaraguan Health Minister Guillermo Gonzalez said that among the 115 cases, 60 have finished their treatment and are in good health, who do not represent any risk of infection for other people.
Gonzalez said that most patients are young males, who probably were infected at school.
He also said that 88 cases were reported in the capital of Managua, followed by the provinces of Leon and Masaya, each with nine and eight cases.
According to the minister, the epidemic is under control in the country and health authorities have enough diagnostic tools to continue detecting possible cases under the Program of Active Search.
