Syria confirms the second A/H1N1 flu case

Syrian Minister of Health Rida Adnan Said announced Thursday that the country has confirmed its second case of influenza A/H1N1 from the family of the first case, which had been identified a few days ago, Xinhua reported.
  
Dr.Said said in a statement Thursday that the new case detected was infected from the former A/H1N1 flu patient who had recovered completely.
  
On July 6, the first A/H1N1 case in Syria was found, the case was detected in a Syrian woman who flew to the country from Australia via Dubai earlier this week.
  
Minister of Health pointed out that the medical staff of the Ministry is following the new case and all the close contacts, calling at the same time to follow the ways of protection from infection, which had been circulated by the ministry earlier.
  
More than 94,500 cases of the flu have been confirmed worldwide and the virus has caused more than 425 deaths, according to the WHO.
