The U.S. military confirmed on Sunday that a man shown in a video released by Taliban militants was a missing soldier, and condemned his captors for issuing the "propaganda" footage, Reuters reported.
"The use of the soldier for propaganda purposes we view as against international law," military spokesman Captain Jon Stock said. "We are continuing to do whatever possible to recover the soldier safe and unharmed."
