A roadside bomb struck military convoy of the international troops in Wardak province, 40 km west of Afghan capital Kabul, Monday damaging one military vehicle, spokesman of provincial administration Shahidullah Shahid said.

"The incident occurred between provincial capital Maidan and Jalriz district at 08:00 a.m. local time (0330 GMT) damaging an armored personnel carrier," Shahid told Xinhua.

However, he did not say if there were any casualties.

Taliban-related attacks particularly in the shape of roadside bombings is on constant rise as over 60 service members international troops with more than 33 from U.S. have been killed since beginning of July.
