A 55-year-old male patient tested positive for Influenza A/H1N1 died here Monday, raising the total number of the death case of the disease to 39 in the city, Hong Kong's Hospital Authority announced.

A 55-year-old male patient tested positive for Influenza A/H1N1 died here Monday, raising the total number of the death case of the disease to 39 in the city, Hong Kong's Hospital Authority announced.
  
The patient developed flu symptoms and attended Hong Kong's Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Oct. 7. Positive result of Influenza A/ H1N1 was confirmed on the same day. His condition became critical on Oct. 8 and he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. The patient passed away Monday at 1:56 p.m, Xinhua reported.
  
The case has been reported to Hospital Authority Head Office and Center for Health Protection.
