The roof of a shopping center in southern Sao Paulo in Brazil collapsed on Friday, slightly injuring eight people, Xinhua reported.
The MPD Engineering, the company responsible for the construction work to expand the market, said in a statement that a wall under construction fell due to rain and wind.
According to the company, the collapse did not cause damage to the structure of the building.
The MPD Engineering said that only the area where the collapse occurred is sealed off, while the rest of the shopping center is still operating normally.
All the wounded were sent to hospital for treatment, according to the fire department.
