Eleven killed in Honduras highway accident

At least 11 people died in a highway accident in central Honduras midnight Friday and their remains weren't found until early Saturday morning, local police said.
The victims were passengers of a tow truck and its carriage, local police officer Jose Portillo told Xinhua.
The tragedy occurred on the highway near the Palmital community, where the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove it off the roadside cliff.
Their bodies were not identified until around 5:00 a.m. Saturday (1100 GMT) in the capital city of Tegucigalpa.
Forensic exams blamed the accident on the awful status of the highway and overload of the vehicle.
The truck departed from Siguatepeque, 115 kilometers from Tegucigalpa, and was heading to Meambar community, in central Comayagua department.
