Fans of Atalanta assaulted a bus carrying Inter Milan fans after the Lombardy derby in which the two sides drew 1-1 Sunday, the ANSA news agency reported.
Some fans from the home side reportedly ambushed one of six buses as it left Bergamo with a police escort, pelting it with stones, bottles and firecrackers, dpa reported.
An officer hurt his hand as police intervened to stop a row that began when Inter fans left the bus and clashed with the Atalanta assailants.
A motorist reportedly had his car hit by stones and firecrackers caused the vehicle airbag to go off. He suffered no injury.
