At least 14 people died and 22 were injured when a bus crashed off a mountain road in the Mexican state of Baja California, officials said, dpa reported.
The accident occurred near the US border en route from San Quintin to Mexicali, about 2,700 kilometres north-west of Mexico City.
"(The bus) was descending the mountain went off the road in the lower part. It fell about 45 metres into a ravine," local police officer Mario Rodriguez said.
The death toll could rise due to the critical condition of some of the injured passengers.
