Bomber kills 10 in eastern Afghanistan

A bomber targeting a pro-government militia commander has left at least ten people dead and dozens more wounded in Paktia province of eastern Afghanistan, Press TV reported.
Afghan officials said the attack took place in Gardez outside a branch of the Kabul Bank on Thursday. The dead include a security company manager, his guards and four civilians.
Meanwhile, another blast near a girl's school in the eastern province of Laghman has killed one student and wounded three others.
Elsewhere, in Khost province, an explosion has rocked a government building. The blast hurt eight people, including the acting governor.
Bomb attacks have escalated in recent weeks with civilians bearing the brunt.
