At least 13 people were killed in a road crash in India's central state of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, a news report said, DPA reported.
The accident took place in the southern Seoni district in the early hours of Tuesday when a jeep collided with a small truck, the PTI news agency reported.
Most victims belonged to a villager's family and were returning from a Hindu shrine in northern Uttar Pradesh state.
India accounts for 10 per cent of the 1.2 million fatal road accidents recorded worldwide each year.
