Actress Anne Hathaway has been chosen to announce the Oscar nominations on February 2, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said Tuesday, dpa reported.
Hathaway will join Academy President Tom Sherak at the early morning event, that signals the start of the most important stage in the awards season, culminating in the Oscar ceremony on March 7.
Hathaway, 27, was nominated last year for the best actress Oscar for her role in Rachel Getting Married.
