The work to implement the second phase of the project of the framework program GUAM-U.S on modernizing the national segments of the Interstate Information Management System (IIMS) of GUAM is expected to be completed by late of May.
This issue was discussed in Kiev on March 11-12, 2010 during a meeting of experts of the GUAM member-states on the protection of information with representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, GUAM said.
During the meeting, held under the chairmanship of the Georgian side, the parties exchanged information on the process of confirmation and entry into force of the Protocol in 2008 concerning the protection of information in IIMS. They agreed drafts of the relevant agreements, and a plan of actions to equip IIMS by means of cryptographic protection of information.
