Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel for two days of talks near Berlin next week, a German government spokeswoman announced Friday, DPA report.
Medvedev is to arrive in Germany late Friday, and will stay at the government's guest residence in Meseberg Castle, 60 kilometres north of Berlin.
The leaders are to discuss relations between Germany and Russia as well as international issues, which are likely to include sanctions against Iran, the Middle East conflict and financial market regulation.
Earlier in the week, Merkel is due to meet Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite and Premier Andrius Kubilius in Vilnius, to discuss topics including Nato, energy security and the country's relation to Russia.
