Germany beat Ghana 1-0 on Wednesday at Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg as both teams went through to the last-16 of the World Cup, DPA reported.
Australia beat Serbia 2-1 in the Mbombela stadium in Nelspruit meaning that Germany won the Group with six points. Ghana go through second, with four points but a better goal difference than Australia.
Germany will now play England in Bloemfontein on Sunday. Ghana will play the United States in Rustenburg on Saturday.
