All 240 doping tests taken so far at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa have come up negative, football's ruling body FIFA told German Press Agency dpa Tuesday.

Two players from each team were selected at random for urine and blood tests after each of the 48 first round games and the 12 knockout stage matches. The tests were evaluated at the World Anti- Doping Agency-qualified laboratory in Bloemfontein.

The 256 doping tests taken before the tournament also came up negative. Eighteen teams were tested during their training camps in Europe and the other 14 teams in South Africa.

All told, FIFA is planning 512 doping tests - 256 taken before the World Cup and 256 during the June 11-July 11 tournament.
