The intense heat has caused Tehran damages worth $1 million, Tehran Emergency Situations Management Organization head Mamedrza Mahmoudi was quoted as saying by the Fars news agency.
The organization will begin to implement emergency measures if the air temperature increases, he said.
The heat has led to fires forests and other areas, Mahmoudi said.
Earlier, the Iranian Cabinet of Ministers decided to announce Sunday and Monday non-working days for state agencies in Tehran and 19 provinces due to the heat.
