Police said that three people were killed in a shooting rampage Monday morning in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after earlier reporting that six people had died, dpa reported.
The 37-year-old suspect opened fire at Emcore Corporation, a solar panel and fiber-optics manufacturer, the Albuquerque Journal reported online.
Police Chief Ray Schultz said four people were wounded in the attack and that the three dead included the suspected shooter, who was a former employee of Emcore.
Schultz said the original motivation for the killing appeared to be domestic in nature, but the presumed shooter's relation to the victims had not been announced.
