At least 15 militants were reportedly killed and another eight injured in air strikes launched by the Pakistani army on Sunday in Upper Orakzai area in the northwest tribal areas of Pakistan, Xinhua reports according to local media.
The reports said that the Pakistani military jet strikes also destroyed four hideouts of militants in Orakzai during the Sunday operations.
Having significant headway in wiping the troubled province off militancy, Pakistani military claimed victory in Orakzai and Mohmand tribal areas during early June, but reported regrouping of Taliban militants during the last couple of months has intensified.
