German exports jumped by a more-than-forecast 3.8 per cent in June, the statistics office said Monday, as foreign demand helps to boost growth in Europe's biggest economy, dpa reported.
Analysts had predicted that exports would rise month on month by 1.8 per cent in June after soaring by 9.2 per cent in May with a weaker euro underpinning the German export machine.
Year-on-year exports surged by 28.5 per cent in June with imports climbing by 31.7 per cent as the upswing in the German economy has taken shape.
