A sacked police officer on Monday seized a tourist bus with 22 South Korean visitors and three Filipinos aboard in the Philippines, police said, dpa reported.
Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz, a national police spokesman, said the suspect boarded the bus at a seaside park in Manila where the tourists were on a tour.
Cruz said negotiations were ongoing for the release of the 25 people aboard the bus.
The suspect, identified as police officer Rolando Del Rosario Mendoza, was recently dismissed from service because of alleged misconduct.
