More than 15 Somali government officials killed in hotel attack by gunmen
Somali Islamist Al Shabaab fighters raided a Mogadishu hotel on Tuesday, killing more than 15 government officials staying inside, sources from the government told Xinhua.
The Muna Hotel is located in the government controlled Hamarweyne district. Reports said that gunmen were in the uniform of the Somali government forces when they were forcing to enter the hotel.
The Somali government security forces are reportedly surrounding the hoteland heavy exchange of gunfire and explosions are heard around the Hotel used by Somali government lawmakers and other officials.
