A roadside bomb organized by militants struck a police vehicle in Kunduz province north of Afghanistan killing three police and injuring another on Sunday, police said, Xinhua reported.

A roadside bomb organized by militants struck a police vehicle in Kunduz province north of Afghanistan killing three police and injuring another on Sunday, police said, Xinhua reported.
   "The incident occurred in Khanabad district at 01:00 p.m. local time as a result three police constables were killed and their officer Jalad Khan sustained injuries," district police chief Mohammad Rahim told Xinhua.
   Meantime, Taliban outfit has claimed of responsibility.
   Zabihullah Mujahid who claims to speak for the Taliban outfit in talks with media via telephone from unknown location said that the roadside bomb planted by militants hit a police van killing five policemen.
   A relatively peaceful province until last year, Kunduz has been the scene of increasing Taliban-linked activities since early this year.
