At least 10 people were killed Thursday morning as a passenger van struck a landmine in Dol Ragha area of the central Kurram tribal area in northwest Pakistan, reported local media.

At least 10 people were killed Thursday morning as a passenger van struck a landmine in Dol Ragha area of the central Kurram tribal area in northwest Pakistan, reported local media.

According to the report, another eight people were injured in the blast, three of whom are said to be critically injured, Xinhua reported.

All the injured people have been shifted to hospital in the area.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Local TV channels reported that the bomb was exploded through a remote control device, adding that the blast happened at a time when the people were returning homes to celebrate "Eid" festival.
