Road accident leaves 30 people dead in Ghana, 80 injured
At least 30 people were killed and another 80 injured after a passenger truck overturned in the north of Ghana, a country located in West Africa, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported on Sunday.
The accident occurred on Saturday evening in the town of Zagyuri as a result of the wrongful overtaking by the driver of the passenger truck, the agency said, RIA Novosti reported.
The injured were taken to a hospital in Tamale, some 700 km (435 miles) north of the country's capital, Accra, the agency said.
The death toll from the road accident may increase as some injured persons are in a serious condition, the agency said.
