Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo flew to Brazil Saturday to undergo cancer treatment, his doctor said.
Lugo, who suffers from lymphatic cancer, is to undergo an operation in Sao Paulo, dpa reported.
He has received chemotherapy in Brazil several times in recent weeks and his doctors have said the treatment has been successful.
The 59-year-old former Catholic bishop has led the South American nation since 2008.
