Hollywood actor Michael Douglas has completed his eight-week course of radiation and chemotherapy treatments, his publicist told People magazine Thursday, dpa reported.
The star of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps was diagnosed with stage-four throat cancer in August and will now begin six weeks of recovery followed by periodic check-ups.
Douglas, 66, earned plaudits from his co-stars for participating in the promotional tour for the movie despite the debilitating treatment he endured.

Juliette Lewis hurt in car accident
Actress Juliette Lewis was hospitalized after a hit-and-run driver smashed into her chauffer-driven limo in Los Angeles, according to a statement from her publicist Thursday.
The incident occurred Wednesday night following a promotional event for her new movie Conviction.
The 37-year-old star of Natural Born Killers was released quickly from hospital and suffered no major injuries.
"The sedan Juliette was traveling in was completely totaled," said her representative Carleen Donovan. "Ms Lewis ... is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise, thankfully, okay. She is now resting at home."

Singer Braxton files for bankruptcy again
Singer Toni Braxton has filed for bankruptcy, saying she owes between 10 million and 50 million dollars, celebrity website TMZ.com reported Thursday.
Braxton previously filed for bankruptcy in 1998 but got into financial trouble again when she was forced to cancel a long-running engagement in Las Vegas because of a heart condition, forcing her to repay huge advances she had received from the venue, a relative was quoted as saying.
Braxton, 42, has sold an estimated 40 million records in her career, and her hits include Breathe Again, Un-Break My Heart and He Wasn't Man Enough.
