The situation after a toxic waste spill in Hungary is under control, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Friday during a visit to the Bulgarian capital Sofia.
"We are fighting to reduce threats to the environment. We managed to take control of the situation in the Danube River as well," Orban said after meeting Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, DPA reported.
Orban said that the European Union commissioner in charge of disaster protection, Bulgarian Kristalina Georgieva, is expected in Hungary on Sunday.
