At least 14 people were killed and 19 critically injured Monday when the bus carrying them fell into a river in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, reported the Indo-Asian News Service.

At least 14 people were killed and 19 critically injured Monday when the bus carrying them fell into a river in the northern Indian state of  Uttar Pradesh, reported the Indo-Asian News Service, Xinhua reported.
  
The incident took place in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, along a bridge of the Choiya river some 400 km from the state capital Lucknow.
  
The exact number of passengers in the private bus is yet to be ascertained.
  
The passengers were laborers who were heading home from Ghaziabad near New Delhi to cast their vote for their village chief elections, said the report.
