An shallow undersea earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted West Papua in easternmost of Indonesia on Tuesday, not potential for tsunami, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency reported here.
The quake rocked at 17: 21 p.m. Jakarta time (1021 GMT) with the epicenter at 131 km Southeast Kaimana of West Papua and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, an official of the agency said, Xinhua reported.
The USGS reported on its website that the quake was measured at 5.9 magnitude.
