Europa League champions Atletico Madrid announced on Wednesday that young defender Alvaro Dominguez will be out of action for around three weeks.
Dominguez badly sprained his left ankle whilst playing for the Spanish Under-21 away to Croatia on Tuesday. He scored the first goal in Spain's 3-0 win but then limped off late in the match, DPA reported.
The youngster - who can play either in the centre of defence or at left-back will miss the upcoming Liga matches against Getafe, Villarreal and Almeria plus the Europa League clash against Rosenborg.
