An oil painting of an eight-months-pregnant Jerry Hall, a former model and ex-wife of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, sold for double its estimated price, the auction house Sotheby's said Saturday in London, DPA reported.

The picture by Lucian Freud, which showed Hall pregnant with her and Jagger's fourth child, sold for 601,250 pounds (691,500 dollars).

In total Hall made 2.3 million pounds from the sale of art from her private collection late Friday - the estimated total had been 1.5 million pounds.

The auction was set to continue Saturday with a sale of contemporary art which included 14 pieces from Hall's collection.

An Andy Warhol painting of a dollar sign, given to Hall as a thank you for her help on a television programme, was another of Friday's highlights, selling for 217,000 pounds.

Hall, from the United States, was together with Jagger for around 20 years. They divorced after eight years of marriage in 1998 because Hall could no longer stand Jagger's affairs, according to her biography, published to coincide with the auction.
