Mexico plane crash kills 4 Americans

Four Americans on a medical mission in the northwestern Mexican state of Baja California have been killed when their small plane crashed, Press TV reported.

Victor Jones, the president of the volunteer organization Flying Samaritans, said the plane lost radio contact on Friday afternoon, CNN reported.

The wreckage of the Beechcraft A36 plane and the bodies of the four Americans were found "after an extensive ground, air and water search," Jones said in a statement on Saturday.

The plane's pilot, along with a plastic surgeon, a doctor and a non-medical support staffer died in the crash.

The wreckage was located about 30 miles south of the Pacific coastal city of Ensenada, Mexico, where the plane departed Friday afternoon for San Quintin.

Flying Samaritans transports medical and support personnel to clinics in Baja California, where they provide free medical services and supplies to people in need.
