Polish miner killed in earthquake
One miner was Friday confirmed to have been killed when an earthquake struck a mine in the south of the country the previous day, DPA reported.
Rescuers found the body of the 46-year-old man nine hours into the all-night rescue operation at the Rydultowy-Anna mine.
The quake measuring 2 to 2.5 on the Richter scale struck at a dept of around 1,200 metres Thursday, according to media reports. Three miners were rescued. One of them was injured but in a stable condition.
