Dutch league leaders PSV Eindhoven scored eight times in the second half in a historic 10-0 demolition of Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Dutch league on Sunday, dpa reported.

Brazilian Jonathan Reis got a hat-trick while Jeremain Lens and Balazs Dzsudzsak had two goals each against Feyenoord, who were down to 10 men in the 34th when Kelvin Leerdam had to go over a second bookable offence.

"I have never been through something like this before. I have no words for this," Feyenoord defender Tim de Cler was quoted as saying after the worst defeat in club history.

PSV retained the league lead with the big victory while Feyenoord hover just above the drop zone. Feyenoord coach Mario Been reportedly offered his resignation after the game.

The previously biggest Feyenoord defeat was an 8-2 loss at rivals Ajax Amsterdam in 1983. PSV's win was not the biggest in the Eredivisie as that remains Ajax' 12-1 demolition of Vitesse Arnhem in 1972.
