At least two people were killed Tuesday when a light German aircraft crashed in western Poland some four miles from the German border, officials said.
"It's clear there are fatalities, but we don't yet know how many people were traveling on the plane," Tomasz Lewandowski, a local duty officer, told broadcaster TVN 24.
Lewandowski added that remains of victims were found near the plane. Firefighters were conducting rescue efforts with ambulances and police, DPA reported.
