Two missing in Nepal helicopter crash
Two people are missing after a helicopter crashed on a rescue mission in Nepal's Mount Everest region early Sunday, DPA reported.
The helicopter, operated by the private company Fishtail Air, came down in the district of Solukhumbu, north of the capital Kathmandu.
It was on its way to rescue two foreign tourists from Mount Amadablam, reports said. The pilot and a technician, both Nepalese, were the only two people on board.
"They are still out of contact," Fishtail air chief Bikash Rana said. "We have sent another helicopter for the rescue operation."
