North Korea has issued a new year message which expressed wishes for clearing the Korean peninsula of nuclear arms, TRT English reported.
The communist administration added that they are always prepared against possible attacks and that if war breaks out there might be a nuclear slaughter.
Tasked with running the relations with Pyongyang, South Korean Unity Ministry said despite the blustery sentences they found North's message as positive.
The ministry said what they gathered from the message was North Korea's will to resume negotiations with them.
