One of the greatest footballers of all times and former Argentina coach Diego Armando Maradona has received an attractive offer to lead Ukraine's national team, Maradona, who has been in the sabbatical for more than half a year now, told the Spanish news agency EFE, UKRINFORM reported.

Asked by reporters whether he is not bored out of work (after retirement from his post as Argentina coach), Maradona named the reasons for which he is in no hurry to return to coaching. His demands are simple: a team will be able to solve high goals, if it gathers speed and technical players.

Maradona admitted that he would be interested to work in Spain, but to date he had only three specific proposals, and one from Ukraine. "I need constant contact with the ball, players. After working in the Argentina national team I have had two very attractive offers. The specific interest was from Ukraine, but so far they have not convinced me," he said.

At the moment, Ukraine is led by Yuriy Kalitvintsev. As acting coach he managed the national team in five friendlies in 2010.
