2 students killed in Kandahar University blasts in S. Afghanistan
At least two people were killed and two others injured when two blasts in a span of a few minutes rocked Kandahar University in south Afghanistan.
"The first blast was a motorcycle bomb inside Kandahar University parking lot and that the bomb went off at round 12:30 p. m. local time. As a result, one student was killed," provincial police chief Abdul Raziq told Xinhua.
He said police found explosives near the site of the blast but the materials went off while police wanted to defuse it as a result two policemen got injured.
Local media qouted a doctor in Kandahar hospital as saying that the injured were admitted to Kandahar hospital.
The area is cordoned off by police and no journalist is allowed to enter.
