An explosion ripped through a market near Pakistan's north-western city of Peshawar on Sunday, killing three people and injuring five, police said.
The incident took place in Matni Bazar on the outskirts of town, DPA reported.
An official at the police control room said the nature of the explosion was not initially clear. He said it damaged five to six vehicles.
"Three people have been confirmed dead and five are wounded," said the official.
