US film and television star Peter Falk, who became famous in the role of detective Columbo, has died at age 83, US media reported Friday.
He passed away Thursday evening at his home in Beverly Hills, his family told local television KTLA. They did not give a cause of death, but he had suffered for years from dementia and Alzheimer's disease, dpa reported.
