One dead, 21 injured, as Czech bus crashed in Germany
A coach returning to the Czech Republic after a football tournament in southern Germany crashed early Wednesday, killing one, dpa reported.
A further 21 people were injured, two seriously, when the bus veered off the motorway and crashed by Schwarzenfeld, 160 kilometres north of Munich, police said.
The coach was carrying 57 people who had been in Munich for a football tournament hosted by Bayern Munich.
The bus overturned, landing on its roof. Most passengers were able to escape, but two were trapped inside and a crane was needed to lift the bus and release them.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, the reasons for which were initially unknown. The motorway was closed in both directions in the area around the crash
