Taliban attacks on the US embassy and NATO forces in the Afghan capital ended early Wednesday after 21 hours, an official said, DPA reported.
Gunmen with suicide vests attacked several locations in Kabul Tuesday, mainly from a 13-storey building in the Abdul Haq square near the embassy and NATO headquarters.
"Six terrorists have been killed. We have secured the entire building. The clearing operation is over," Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said Wednesday morning.
At least seven people including three civilians were killed and 17 others wounded.
He said the official casualty toll would be released later.
