Jackson's doctor to star in tell-all documentary

Conrad Murray is to star in a tell-all documentary about Michael Jackson, it was announced Tuesday, less than a day after he was convicted of killing the pop star in 2009, dpa reported.

US news cable network MSNBC said it will screen Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship on Friday, though it did not say how much the 58-year-old doctor was paid to appear in the film.

The documentary, which has reportedly been two years in the making, features Murray commenting on his personal relationship with Jackson. According to Entertainment Weekly, the interviews with Murray were conducted before the doctor was charged with Jackson's death.

Murray did not testify in the trial which ended Monday when he was found guilty Monday of involuntary manslaughter. His comments in the film will mark the first time he makes public his version of the events, as he did not testify in the trial. Prosecutors did however play a tape of his interview with police two days after Jackson's death.
