Representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora met with members of the Government of Sweden, told Trend in the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Sweden (CAS).

After numerous meetings with representatives of various factions of the parties in the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament), the first time in the history of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Sweden, met the representatives of CAS with the members of government, where government representatives briefed the participants with the historical facts about the origin of Nagorno-Karabakh of Azerbaijan Republic and also informed about the occupation of 20% of Azerbaijani territory, violating human rights and freedoms of one million refugees who can not return to their homes.

The representatives discussed the issues of inefficient activity of the Minsk Group of the OSCE and ignoring the four UN resolutions by the Armenian side.

In turn, members of the Swedish government was informed about the date of resolution of the Karabakh conflict. This meeting will be held May 9 this year in the Swedish parliament.

The participants expressed their hope to be objective consideration of the resolution and the importance of this issue for all Azerbaijanis living in Sweden. After the meeting, representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora handed materials about Khojaly genocide, as well as books about Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, written by well-known foreign authors.
