Two soldiers were injured when an International Security Assistance Force helicopter crashed Wednesday in western Afghanistan, the military said, dpa reported.

The NATO-led alliance did not provide details of the incident or the exact location, saying the cause was being investigated.

Two troops were also killed in separate attacks in the country, the alliance said.

"An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device in eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday," it said.

Another soldier was killed in an insurgent attack on Tuesday, the statement said.
